What playing this feels like

Unlike the stand-your-ground titles nearby, this one sends you looking for trouble. The squad clears a site section by section, through scenery built from walls, blind corners and doorways that all mean something.

Standing in the right place matters more than shooting straight. Getting caught in open ground and swarmed from two sides is the most common way a run ends, while ducking behind a wall and letting the horde file into a single line multiplies what one magazine can do. The other habit worth building is checking the door or gap behind you before pushing forward, because noise from the next room usually means something is about to arrive from the rear.

The scenery is dark with pooled light, so reading shadows counts as much as reading the shapes you can plainly see. Anyone who prefers a shooter about position over one about hand speed will find far more of that here than on most of the shelf.
