What playing this feels like
This is not a race so much as a balancing act. The car has weight you can feel, and hitting a rise too quickly sends it into a spin that finishes the stage without any opponent being involved at all.
Throttle control, not steering, is the skill. What works is short taps approaching the crest and easing off while airborne so the front wheels come down first. Anyone holding the pedal flat will feel picked on, when the game is simply being honest about physics.
Because a flip can happen at any moment, the stages are short and restart instantly. The pleasure is in finding the right measure for each rise — which changes with the slope and the run-up — rather than in memorising a circuit the way a normal racer would ask.
