What playing this feels like
The laboratory is full of linked machinery: press a switch and something moves across the room, pull a lever and a door opens briefly. Early rooms can be brute-forced by fiddling until they yield, but the number of combinations soon grows past what guessing can cover.
The turning point is learning to reason backwards. Instead of asking what can be pressed, ask where everything needs to be at the end and work back one step at a time. That approach eliminates more than half the possibilities before anything has been touched.
Nothing punishes experimentation — no clock, no lives to lose — so it rewards an unhurried sitting. It suits anyone who enjoys the moment when the whole room finally moves through its sequence exactly as planned, off one press.
