What playing this feels like
This edition moves at a gentler pace than the accelerated one. Obstacles arrive singly, with enough space between them for the eye to keep up. Anyone new to runners should begin here, where the basic timing can be learned without being punished inside the first minute.
Two things need to be internalised: the distance at which a jump has to start, and how long the character stays airborne. Both stay constant throughout, so once they are learned, stages that felt awkward turn ordinary — the exact satisfaction this genre trades on.
When that becomes comfortable, the faster edition uses the same character and rules with the timing windows squeezed. Starting on the slower version means none of that timing has to be relearned when everything begins arriving twice as quickly.
