What playing this feels like

The problems are short sums that anybody can do. The difficulty is not in the arithmetic but in a timer that forces an answer before the thinking has properly finished, which makes this a test of fluency rather than of knowledge.

A run of correct answers pushes the level up on its own: bigger numbers, less time. Where most people come unstuck is the moment confidence slips and guessing takes over, because one wrong guess usually breaks the rhythm of the whole set. Deliberately slowing for a single question works better than forcing an answer.

Although the presentation is built for children practising, it serves an adult wanting to wake their head up in the morning just as well. Rounds are brief, nothing needs configuring, and the result arrives as a plain number the moment it ends.
