What playing this feels like
This is melee and nothing else — no firearm, no safe distance, just you and whatever drifts within arm's reach. Mashing the attack button carries the opening stretch, then falls apart the moment enemies appear whose swings have to be dodged before answering.
Each type winds up in its own way. One holds a raised weapon for an age and then strikes fast; another attacks instantly but lightly. Learning those tells is the actual content of the game, far more than any stat or weapon in hand. Skilled play looks like waiting rather than charging, because half a second of patience is usually what flips an exchange in your favour.
The palette is dark with a flash at each clash, which keeps the important beats readable even when the screen is busy. On a small display, where sprites overlap badly, stepping back to open a gap and then re-entering genuinely helps — especially in the stretches where several of them close in together.
