What playing this feels like
Fishing Frenzy is more about waiting than pressing. The hook swings above the water and drops when told to; the fish passing underneath come in different sizes, and each size takes a different length of time to haul back up. The big ones pay handsomely and cost a lot of clock.
So the running decision is one of time cost. Late in a round, taking two or three small ones usually beats holding out for a large one that may swim clear before the hook arrives. Early on, with plenty of time in hand, the patience to hold out for something heavy is a sound investment.
The detail most people miss is that fish do not always swim level. Some drift diagonally, so dropping the hook where a fish is going, rather than where it currently is, lifts the hit rate noticeably within a couple of rounds.
